In his work, Ghent-based designer Loïc Willemot always goes in search of new ways to give simple objects a special look with nothing but minimal interventions. This is no different for his Ligne carré tealight holders for Serax. Seemingly unimposing objects, but as soon as you light a candle, a beautiful interplay of lines appears through the open corners. From the outset, the designer had a clear goal in mind. He wanted to create metal tealight holders that were completely different from the usual low, round ones. He folded a cross out of a thin sheet of metal and adjusted it until the light created exactly the lines he was looking for. Every detail has been contemplated. For example, the black powder- coated steel has a matt finish so that it does not reflect light sources, allowing the candlelight to work its magic without interference. Moreover, by combining the three different sizes, you will be able to play with the effects. An extraordinary design that never gets old.

K Popflower is a print from a Kenzo archive of the 1980s. This rustic bouquet, reinterpreted and modernised with a new “Cartoon” treatment so dear to Nigo, was presented at the fall-winter 2022 fashion show.
The story evokes a new “romantic pop” vision that echoes Japanese Kawai influences and the contemporary Asian world.

The poppy, the brand’s emblematic flower, is a conscious return to the source and a tribute to Kenzo Takada.
The flight of these charming bucolic blue flowers contrasts with a two-toned floral and graphic micro-pattern, reminiscent of “Washi” paper designs used in the art of Origami.
The new artistic direction at Kenzo highlights the meeting of East and West, the very essence of the brand.
