Serax and Marni are launching an elegant, 120-piece porcelain tableware set, which celebrates the Italian fashion house’s artistic vision. Marni’s Creative Director Francesco Risso designed the flower motif, which was inspired by nature. Decals are used to apply the pattern to the fine bone china, after which it is glazed, to make it more wear resistant. The slightly asymmetrical shapes of the plates, bowls, cups, saucers, and tea pots only serve to accentuate the hand-finished porcelain’s quality.

Each glass features a laser-engraved flower motif. This labor-intensive process is repeated three times for an optimal effect. Finally, the glass is finished with an oil-based polish to enhance the subtle transparency of the engraved motif. The result is an artistic set of glasses worthy of the renowned fashion house.

Patricia Urquiola presents the Canale cutlery holder that demolishes the limits of classic table settings, moving the cutlery to a single point in the center of the table, where everyone can reach them. This paves a new way, a focal point that becomes a communication channel, stimulating sharing and dialog. An highly theatrical object made of straight tubes that vibrate with reflected light, celebrating a new contemporary ritual.
